my view on italicity
"What distinguishes “Italic Peoples” from the generally used term “Italians”? What is meant by “Italicity” or Italic Peoples? Italicity does not only refer to people of Italian origin or Italian speaking peoples or the legal and institutional belonging of Italian citizens. It can be understood as referring to the conscience and cultural values in relation to building identities. It is now estimated that at least sixty million people of Italian origin live in various parts of the globe. If the estimate is extended to include” Italophiles”, the number may easily reach two hundred million.(...)"
